We just got back from a trip to Kona. This quaint and busy little tourist town is located on the big island of Hawaii. While being at this location I was inspired by all of the Hawaiian stimulation. Staying at the Outrigger Keauhou Beach Resort was fabulous. The grounds are so pristine and the views were breathtakingly outstanding.
We saw turtles basking on black lava rocks in the warm afternoon sun, surfers on board cutting through the crisp clean ocean waves, sail boats slowly cruising through the blue ocean in the distance. We walked black sand beaches and snorkeled in the clear ocean water with a massive rainbow of fish and gorgeous hues of coral. How could you not get inspiration from the atmosphere that surrounded your every waking moment?
This visit has given me motivation to add a few Hawaiian themed projects. In this section you will find items that will be related to the big island. They are beach related items that could be found in many similar areas, but have been encouraged from my experience in this travel.
As new items are created they will be added to this page. The patterns can be enlarged or reduced to fit your particular needs. Most of them are small enough to be pins or pendants and a couple of them have been made to actually hang on a wall.
They will be listed in alphabetical order and will be also added to the fused glass patterns page. Come back to see the latest additions as they are being added.
