Glass Slumping Supplies

There are only a few glass slumping supplies needed for the process of slumping. Slumping is the process of heating glass until it sags into or over a mold. Usually when you slump over a mold, it is referred to as draping.

What is so great about glass slumping is the minimum equipment and space needed for the process. Just a small space for your kiln and you are set. Be sure to follow all the safety guidelines when setting up your slumping area.

You can make a design with your glass and fuse it before slumping, or you can tack fuse and slump at the same time. Designs can be made using other pieces of glass, just be sure to check the COE of all pieces used.

Kiln wash

Mold

Kiln

You could add to the list with decorative items such as stringers, dichroic glass, glass paints, etc., but this is the basic list of supplies needed for this process.
